Before becoming a viral internet personality, Hoskins worked as a garbage truck driver. His day-to-day work eventually became a defining feature of his social media content.
Rather than creating a completely separate online persona, he began sharing ordinary moments from his working life, including what he ate during his breaks. That approach became the foundation for the Datrashmaaan brand.
Career
Luke Hoskins began posting videos on TikTok in May 2024 as Datrashmaaan. His early content included food videos and clips from his everyday life.
His breakthrough came through videos showing him unusually eating lettuce. Instead of separating the leaves onto a plate, he took a whole head of lettuce, removed the outer layer, and ate it directly, sometimes adding chicken, croutons, and ranch dressing.
The unusual meals quickly attracted attention. His first million-view TikTok arrived on June 26, 2024, and his lettuce videos continued to generate millions of views. The format eventually became associated with his nickname “boy dinner.”
His content stood out because it combined food, humor, and his everyday working life. He also began posting shopping vlogs, beverage-mixing videos and other lifestyle content, allowing followers to see more of his personality outside his job.
Datrashmaaan’s TikTok account has grown to around 1.3–1.4 million followers, according to current creator-tracking and profile sources.
His popularity has also opened the door to brand partnerships. Creator analytics show sponsored content connected to brands including Jackson’s Food Stores, while his official Linktree currently features commercial partnerships and creator-related opportunities.
Datrashmaaan has also expanded his content to YouTube. He created his YouTube channel on December 8, 2024. Current Social Blade data lists more than 8,000 subscribers, over 759,000 views, and more than 400 uploaded videos.
